One step closer

After an intense search for a way to invest myself in the development of Africa, I have found an organization!! It's called Kabissa! It is a non-profit based in DC that provides internet hosting, web training, email services and tons of other techie products to small civil society organizations throughout Africa. They work with 850 organizations! I just started a development internship with Kabissa yesterday! I will be helping them organize local and out-of-town fundraisers as well as possibly starting a blog for them! Check them out: www.kabissa.org.

They have lots of virtual volunteer opportunities too that would be really worthwhile and with various time committments. If you are NY, just a note that they are specifically trying to do some major fundraising there and have started a committee to work on the issue.
